Dog Sledding: The Intersection Of Skill And Chaos

In Northern Ontario, Musher/Sledder Burton Penner works with his 43 dogs. They all have different personalities and each has a special name. “I always enjoy the idea of dog sledding” He says. “The untouched beauty of the landscape is just a beautiful thing to me”.

“There is something about their enthusiasm and energy that just lifts your spirit. Dogs realise that they have a purpose when they do stuff like this and I would never take advantage of, or break, that trust. These dogs help me so why wouldn’t I appreciate them?”.

Born and raised in this spectacular part of the world, he sees no reason to ever leave. “Such is the pull of a land so fine”.
